Last week it was water fun day! That means everyone was swimming and having fun in the water.
First we went to the pools for relays. Relays is basically a race where you race across the pool. we had sit in our house colours te tonga (Green) Te raki (Blue) te whiti (yellow) te uru (Red) while we were waiting we said our house chants. Our house chant was.
Te tonga what is your profession auu auu auu,
everywhere we go people want to know,
who we are,
so we tell them,
we are te tonga,
mighty mighty tonga,
te tonga are you ready ready yes we are ready ready.
te uru is for breakfast te whiti te raki is for dinner and we munch munch munch.
After the relays we went to the slip and slide station. We laid down the slip and slide by the senior playground. It was really fun but one thing I didn’t like was that we had some little kids from room 15 with us.
After the slip and slide we had a water fight and it was heaps of fun. We had sponges, water balloons, water guns and cups. But the water balloons ran out really fast.
Next we went to the park to play a game called drip drip drop. It’s basically duck duck goose but you have to go around and drop some water from a sponge on people’s head. If you want to choose someone you have to drop the sponge on their head, beside us was the little kids from room 15.
I love water fun day because we get wet all day on a hot summer day. I hope we can have another water fun day again.
